What are scheduled orders?
Scheduled orders let customers place an order now for a future time. For example, a customer might order at 10am for a 6pm pickup. This is especially useful for catering, event planning, or customers who want to plan ahead.
How customers schedule orders
On your storefront checkout, customers can choose between "ASAP" and "Schedule for later". When they choose to schedule, they see available time slots based on your opening hours.
Setting up scheduled orders
In your dashboard under Settings > Services, you can configure:
Schedule days ahead — how many days into the future customers can schedule (e.g., 7 days).
Minimum hours ahead — the minimum notice required for a scheduled order (e.g., 2 hours ahead).
Managing scheduled orders
Scheduled orders appear in the "Later" tab in your merchant app, sorted by their scheduled time. Each order shows a colour-coded countdown:
Blue — plenty of time before the order is due.
Amber — the order is due soon.
Red — the order is due now or overdue.
In the dashboard, scheduled orders are marked with a calendar icon and their scheduled time.
Printing
Scheduled orders do not print immediately when placed. The receipt prints when you accept the order, so your kitchen does not get confused by orders that are not needed for hours.
