Never miss an order
Spatula uses multiple notification channels to make sure you know about every new order:
Merchant app alerts
Sound alert — a notification sound plays when a new order arrives. You can choose from several built-in sounds or upload your own.
Vibration — your device vibrates along with the sound.
Full-screen takeover — new orders take over the entire screen with order details and accept/decline buttons, so you cannot miss them.
Push notifications — even if the app is in the background, you get a push notification on your device.
Dashboard alerts
The dashboard also plays sound alerts for new orders. You can configure the alert sound and volume in Settings > Notifications.
Customising sounds
Go to Settings > Notifications in the dashboard or the Settings page in the merchant app to:
Choose from built-in alert sounds
Adjust the volume
Enable or disable repeat alerts (the sound repeats until you respond to the order)
Set the repeat interval
Customer notifications
Customers also receive notifications about their order status. When you update an order's status (confirmed, preparing, ready, etc.), the customer receives a push notification on their phone if they have enabled notifications on your storefront.
