Save time with automation
Spatula can automatically advance orders through status stages so you spend less time tapping buttons and more time preparing food.
Available auto-status settings
In Settings > Services, each service type (pickup, delivery, dine-in) has its own auto-status options:
Auto-confirm — automatically accept new orders without manual confirmation. Useful during busy periods.
Auto-ready — automatically mark orders as ready after a set preparation time.
Auto-complete — automatically mark orders as completed after they have been picked up or delivered.
How to enable
Go to Settings > Services.
Expand the service type you want to configure (Pickup, Delivery, or Dine-in).
Find the Auto Status section.
Toggle on the auto-status options you want and set the timing for each.
Stuck order protection
Orders that remain in "pending" status for too long are automatically cancelled to prevent forgotten orders. If the customer paid by card, they are automatically refunded.
Combining manual and automatic
You can use auto-status for some stages and manual control for others. For example, auto-confirm orders but manually mark them as ready when the food is actually done.
