Setting Up Your Custom Domain

Use your own domain

Instead of a generic URL, you can have customers order from your own domain — for example, order.yourrestaurant.com.au. This looks more professional and builds trust with your customers.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Storefront in your dashboard.

  2. Enter your desired subdomain and domain (e.g., "order.yourrestaurant.com.au").

  3. Follow the DNS instructions provided — you will need to add a DNS record with your domain registrar.

  4. Once the DNS records are verified, your storefront will be accessible at your custom domain.

DNS configuration

The dashboard provides the exact DNS records you need to add. Typically this involves adding a CNAME record pointing your subdomain to our servers. If you are not sure how to do this, your domain registrar's support team can help.

What customers see

Once configured, customers visit your custom domain and see your fully branded storefront. There is no visible mention of Spatula — it looks and feels like your own ordering website.

Tips

  • Use a subdomain like "order" or "menu" (e.g., order.yourrestaurant.com.au) rather than your main domain.

  • DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though it usually happens within a few hours.
