Setting Up Pickup, Delivery, and Dine-In

Service types

Spatula supports three service types, and you can enable any combination of them:

  • Pickup — customers order online and come to your store to collect.

  • Delivery — you deliver orders to the customer's address.

  • Dine-in — customers order from their table using QR codes or at the counter.

Enabling services

  1. Go to Settings > Services.

  2. Each service type has its own panel. Toggle on the ones you offer.

  3. Expand each panel to configure its specific settings.

Pickup settings

  • Default preparation time

  • Auto-status settings (auto-confirm, auto-ready, auto-complete)

  • Custom checkout fields specific to pickup orders

  • Pickup-specific customer notes (e.g., "Please come to the rear entrance")

Delivery settings

  • Delivery zones with distance-based or suburb-based fees

  • Minimum order amounts per zone

  • Estimated delivery times

  • Delivery-specific customer notes

  • Blocked addresses

Dine-in settings

  • Number of tables

  • Table ordering via QR codes

  • Auto-status settings

  • Dine-in-specific customer notes

Pausing services

You can temporarily pause individual services from the merchant app without closing your entire store. For example, pause delivery during a busy period while still accepting pickup orders.
