Push Notifications for Marketing

Reach customers directly

Customers who have installed your storefront as an app and enabled notifications can receive marketing push notifications from you.

Sending marketing notifications

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications in your dashboard.

  2. Find the Marketing Push Notifications section.

  3. See how many subscribers you have.

  4. Enter a notification title and message body.

  5. Click Send.

What customers receive

A push notification appears on the customer's phone with your title and message. Tapping it opens your storefront. This is a great way to promote:

  • New menu items

  • Limited-time specials

  • Flash deals and discounts

  • Seasonal promotions

Growing your subscriber base

Enable the PWA install prompt (Settings > Storefront) to encourage customers to install your store as an app. When they install it, they are prompted to enable push notifications. The more installations you have, the larger your reach for marketing messages.

Best practices

  • Do not over-send — one to two notifications per week is a good starting point.

  • Make every notification valuable — include an offer or genuinely useful information.

  • Send at times when customers are likely thinking about food (e.g., late morning or late afternoon).
