Connection status banner
The merchant app shows a connection status banner at the top of the screen. If it shows "Disconnected" or "Reconnecting", here is what to do:
1. Check your internet
Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data. Open a web browser and try loading any website to confirm you have internet access.
2. Refresh the app
Pull down to refresh, or close and reopen the app. The app will automatically try to reconnect.
3. Switch networks
If you are on Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data (or vice versa). Sometimes a specific network connection can have issues.
4. Orders still arriving?
Even when the real-time connection is down, the app continues to poll for new orders on a faster schedule. You should still receive orders, though there may be a short delay compared to the instant real-time updates.
5. Clear app data
If the problem persists, try clearing the app's site data. On Android: Settings > Apps > find the app > Clear Data. On iPhone: go to Settings > Safari > Clear Website Data. Then log in again.
