Menu Items Showing as Unavailable

Why items appear greyed out

If menu items are showing as unavailable (greyed out) on your storefront, check these causes:

1. Manually marked unavailable

Someone may have toggled the item off. Check in the dashboard Menu page — look for items with the toggle switched off. You can also check the merchant app's Menu tab where staff can quickly toggle items.

2. Availability window

The product or category may have a time-based availability window. For example, a breakfast item set to be available from 7am-11am will be unavailable outside those hours. Check the product's availability settings in the menu editor.

3. Category not linked to a menu

Products must be in a category, and categories must be in a menu. If the category is orphaned (not linked to any menu), its products will not show on the storefront.

4. Product has no price

A product without a base price or any size variants will not appear properly on the storefront. Make sure every product has at least a base price or one size variant with a price.
