Connecting a Restaurant to Stripe

Once your Stripe Connect platform is set up, each restaurant needs to create their own Stripe Express account.

From the reseller dashboard:

  1. Go to Stores → click on the restaurant → SettingsPayments tab

  2. Click "Start Stripe Onboarding"

  3. A new tab opens with Stripe's Express signup form

  4. The restaurant owner (or you, on their behalf) fills in:

    • Business details (name, ABN, address)

    • Bank account for payouts (BSB + account number)

    • Identity verification

  5. After completion, they're redirected back to your dashboard

  6. The store's status changes to "Connected" with a green "Charges OK" badge

What the restaurant sees on their bank statement:

The store name is automatically set as the statement descriptor, so customers see the restaurant name (e.g. "FLAME & DOUGH") on their card statement — not your reseller brand.
