What is Help Me Choose?

Help Me Choose is a friendly recommender that sits on your storefront and helps customers decide what to order when they are not sure. Customers answer a few quick questions about their mood, hunger level and preferences, and the storefront suggests items from your menu that match.

How it works for customers

A customer taps the Help Me Choose button on your menu page. They are asked a short series of questions, such as how hungry they are, whether they want something light or filling, and any flavours they are in the mood for. Based on their answers, the storefront highlights two or three items from your live menu that are most likely to suit them. Customers can add the suggested item straight to their cart or browse another option.

Turning it on or off

  1. Open Settings in your dashboard.

  2. Go to the Storefront section.

  3. Find Help Me Choose under the customer experience options.

  4. Switch it on or off and save.

Tips for good recommendations

  • Make sure popular items are tagged correctly with sizes and dietary labels so suggestions are accurate.

  • Keep product descriptions clear — they help the recommender match dishes to the customer's mood.

  • Pause items that are sold out so they are not suggested.
