What is honest deal detection?
Honest deal detection automatically spots when a customer's cart is one or two items away from qualifying for a meal deal you already offer, and prompts them to swap into the deal so they save money. It is called 'honest' because the prompt is shown to help the customer, not to nudge them into spending more.
How it works
As a customer adds items to their cart, the storefront checks whether their selection is close to one of your active meal deals. If swapping into the deal would save the customer money, a small floating button appears in the cart with a message such as 'You could save $4 with the Family Feast deal'. The customer taps the button and the cart is rebuilt as the deal automatically.
Turning it on
Open the Experiential section of your dashboard.
Find the Honest Deal toggle.
Switch it on and save.
Tips
Set up clear, well-named meal deals so the swap prompt is easy to understand.
Make sure the savings shown in your deals are real — customers notice when they are not.
This works best if you have at least three or four meal deals running at any time.
