What is ambient audio?
Ambient audio is an optional button on your storefront that lets customers play soft background sound while they browse — the bustle of a kitchen, a crackling pizza oven, or a relaxed cafe soundtrack. It adds personality and makes ordering feel more like visiting your venue.
Turning it on
Open the Experiential section of your dashboard.
Choose Ambient Audio.
Switch it on.
Pick the sound that fits your venue.
Save your changes.
How customers use it
A small audio button appears on the storefront. The audio is always off by default — the customer must tap to play it. They can mute or close it at any time. The setting is remembered for their next visit.
Tips
Pick a sound that matches your brand. A pizzeria and a sushi bar should not sound the same.
Audio works best on storefronts with a strong landing page, where customers spend a few seconds before tapping into the menu.
If most of your customers order on the go, this feature may not add much. Consider keeping it off.
