What are loyalty challenges?
Loyalty challenges are short missions you offer your customers — for example, 'Order three times this month for a free dessert' or 'Spend $100 in the next two weeks to earn 500 bonus points'. Challenges add a fun, game-like layer to your loyalty program and encourage customers to come back more often.
Types of challenges
Spend challenges — reward customers when they spend a target amount in a window of time.
Order count challenges — reward customers for placing a target number of orders.
Streak challenges — reward customers for ordering a certain number of weeks in a row.
Setting up a challenge
Open the Loyalty section of your dashboard.
Choose Challenges.
Click New Challenge.
Pick the type (spend, order count or streak).
Set the target and the time window.
Choose the reward — bonus points, a coupon, or a free gift.
Save and activate the challenge.
How customers see challenges
Active challenges appear in the customer's loyalty card on your storefront. They can see their progress towards the goal and what reward they will earn. As they place qualifying orders, the progress bar updates automatically.
Tips
Run two or three challenges at a time. More than that overwhelms customers.
Make the targets achievable — a challenge nobody can finish is not motivating.
Use streak challenges sparingly. They are powerful but can feel demanding.
