Bonus Events and Double Points

What are bonus events?

Bonus events are short windows when customers earn extra loyalty points on their orders. Common examples are double points weekends, triple points on a specific category, or 5x points for a single happy hour. Bonus events let you reward your most loyal customers and drive trade during quieter periods.

Setting up a bonus event

  1. Open the Loyalty section of your dashboard.

  2. Choose Bonus Events.

  3. Click New Event.

  4. Set the multiplier (2x, 3x and so on).

  5. Pick a start and end time.

  6. Optionally restrict the event to specific categories, products or order types.

  7. Save the event.

How customers see bonus events

Active bonus events show as a banner on your storefront and in the customer's loyalty card. The cart total clearly shows how many points the customer will earn, including the bonus multiplier.

Tips

  • Schedule events around quieter trading periods to lift orders when you need them most.

  • Cap event lengths at a few hours or one day for a sense of urgency.

  • Promote upcoming events using marketing push notifications and your usual social channels.
