The Customer Order Tracking Page

What is the order tracking page?

Every customer who places an order receives a link to a live tracking page. The page shows the current order status, estimated time, and gives the customer a way to message you if something comes up.

What customers see

  • A status stepper showing the journey from received to preparing to ready or on the way to delivered or collected.

  • The estimated ready time or delivery time.

  • A summary of the items ordered.

  • A chat button to message you about the order.

  • A banner if the order is running late, so they know to expect a delay.

Live updates

The tracking page updates in real time. As you progress the order through statuses in the merchant app — accepted, preparing, ready, completed — the customer's tracking page reflects each step automatically. They don't need to refresh.

Floating tracker

If the customer browses your menu again while their order is in progress, a small floating tracker stays visible at the bottom of the screen. They can tap it to jump back to the full tracking page at any time.

Tips

  • Set your prep time realistically — the tracking page surfaces it directly to the customer.

  • If you're running behind, use the Running behind option in the merchant app. The tracking page will show a delay banner so customers don't worry.

  • Customers don't need an account to use the tracking page — the link works for guest checkout too.
