Custom Labels for Renaming Terms

What are custom labels?

Custom labels let you rename the terminology used in your dashboard and storefront. If your team uses different words for things — for example, Tickets instead of Orders, or Servers instead of Staff — you can change those labels everywhere with a single setting.

What can be customised?

You can rename common terms such as:

  • Order, Orders

  • Customer, Customers

  • Staff member, Server

  • Pickup, Delivery, Dine-in

  • Menu, Category

  • And other system terms

How to set custom labels

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Settings, then Custom Labels.

  2. For each term you want to change, type the replacement.

  3. Save. The new labels appear immediately across the dashboard, the merchant app, and the storefront.

Tips

  • Keep labels short — long replacements can wrap awkwardly in buttons and tables.

  • Be consistent. If you change Order to Ticket, remember to update related terms too.

  • If a label looks wrong somewhere, clear it to fall back to the default.
