What are table combinations?
Sometimes a party is too big for any single table — a group of 8 might need two 4-person tables pushed together. Table combinations let you tell the booking system which tables can be joined, so larger groups can be seated automatically without manual juggling.
How they work
You define a combination as a set of two or more tables that, when joined, can seat a larger party. The booking system treats the combination as a single virtual table with a combined capacity. When a customer books for that party size, the system can offer the combination if individual tables aren't big enough.
Setting up a combination
Open the dashboard and go to Bookings, then Tables.
Click Combinations.
Click Add combination.
Pick the tables that can be joined.
Set the combined capacity, often a little more than the sum since people can sit across the join.
Save.
Tips
Only define combinations that physically work in your dining room.
If two tables in a combination are individually booked, the combination is automatically unavailable.
Use the floor plan editor to preview how the combination looks in your dining room.
