What is the Front of House app?
The Front of House (FOH) app is a separate app for staff who manage bookings and seating in your dining room. It runs on a tablet at the host stand and shows the live booking diary, floor plan, and table status.
Pairing a device
Open the dashboard on your computer and go to Bookings, then Devices.
Click Pair device. A 6-digit code appears.
On the tablet, open the FOH app and tap Pair this device.
Enter the 6-digit code and confirm.
The tablet is now paired with your store and ready for staff to log in.
Staff sign-in
Staff sign in to the FOH app with their personal PIN. Each staff member can be assigned to one or more sections of the dining room, and the app will highlight their tables when they're on shift.
Unpairing a device
If you need to retire or replace a tablet, you can unpair it from the dashboard. To prevent accidents, the FOH app asks you to type UNPAIR to confirm before disconnecting.
Tips
Mount the tablet at the host stand with a good wifi signal — the FOH app updates the diary in real time.
Keep one spare unpaired tablet for emergencies during busy services.
Use the section feature to assign servers to groups of tables.
