What are mobile wallet payments?
Mobile wallets let customers pay at checkout with a single tap using the wallet on their phone or in their browser. The customer's card details are already saved in the wallet, so they don't need to type them in.
What customers see
On supported devices, a wallet button appears at checkout. Tapping it pulls up the wallet's standard payment sheet showing the order total. The customer confirms with their fingerprint, face, or device passcode and the order is placed instantly.
How to enable mobile wallet payments
Mobile wallet payments are turned on by default once your card payments are configured. To check the status:
Open the dashboard and go to Settings, then Payment Methods.
Look for the Mobile wallets section.
Make sure the wallet options you want are enabled.
Why customers like wallets
No typing card details on a small screen.
Faster checkout — usually under five seconds.
The wallet's own security checks add an extra layer of protection.
Tips
Most wallet payments come from mobile devices. Make sure your storefront looks great on phones.
If a customer says the wallet button isn't appearing, ask which browser they're using — older browsers may not support it.
The wallet button only appears when a customer's device has at least one card saved.
