What this is
Customers can change items they've already added to the cart without having to remove and re-add them. This works for normal items, meal deals, and half-and-half pizzas.
How customers edit a cart item
Open the cart drawer from the floating cart button.
Tap the item they want to change.
The original item builder opens, pre-filled with the customer's current selections — variant, modifiers, special instructions, ingredients to remove, and any deal slots.
Make changes, then tap Update to save back to the cart.
What can be edited
Regular items — change variant (size), modifiers, ingredient removal, special instructions, or quantity.
Meal deals — re-pick any slot, swap items in and out, or change the variant within a slot.
Half-and-half pizzas — change either side, swap toppings, or change the size.
Tips
If a customer just wants to change quantity, they can use the + and − buttons in the cart without opening the editor.
If a modifier or item has been paused since it was added, the editor will show it as unavailable and the customer will need to choose a replacement.
Editing keeps the item in the same position in the cart — it doesn't move to the bottom.
