Test Printing a Receipt

What this is

The test print button sends a sample receipt to your kitchen printer so you can confirm it's connected, paired, and printing the layout you want — without needing a live order.

How to send a test print

  1. Go to Settings → Printer & Receipts in the dashboard.

  2. Confirm the correct printer is selected.

  3. Tap Send test print.

  4. Within a few seconds, a sample receipt should print at your kitchen printer.

What the test print shows

  • Your current header, logo, and footer.

  • Sample order lines, modifiers, and special instructions.

  • Paper-width sample so you can confirm 58 mm or 80 mm is set correctly.

  • Your printer reference details for support.

If the test print doesn't appear

  • Check the printer is switched on and paired with the correct 6-digit code.

  • Make sure the printing tablet or device is online and signed in.

  • Open a new roll of paper if the printer is low.

  • Re-pair the printer if the device is showing as disconnected.
