What this is
The hero is the big visual area at the top of your storefront landing page. Spatula offers three hero layout options so you can choose the one that suits your brand best.
Layout choices
Classic — store name and tagline overlaid on a hero image, with action buttons below. Balanced look that works for most restaurants.
Full-bleed — the hero image fills the screen edge to edge, with text and buttons sitting on top. Great for venues with strong photography or strong brand colours.
Minimal — a slim header with no large image, just your name, tagline, and quick actions. Loads fast and works well if you don't have a hero photo yet.
How to change your hero layout
Open Settings → Storefront in the dashboard.
Scroll to Theme & Branding.
Choose your hero layout.
Upload a hero image if you're using Classic or Full-bleed.
Save — your storefront updates straight away.
Tips
Hero images should be wide (landscape) and at least 1920 pixels wide so they look sharp on big screens.
Avoid placing important details (a customer's face, the dish itself) right in the centre — text and buttons sit there.
Test on a phone — most customers visit on mobile, where full-bleed feels much more immersive.
