What this is
Guest notes let your team store helpful information about a customer — dietary requirements, seating preferences, special occasions, or VIP status — that follows them across every booking. The note is visible whenever the customer's name appears in the booking diary.
Where to find guest notes
Open the booking diary in the dashboard.
Click on a booking to open its details panel.
Scroll to the Guest Notes section.
What you can save
Tags — short labels like VIP, Regular, Allergy, or Birthday. Tags are colour-coded so you can spot them at a glance in the diary.
Notes — free-text comments. Use these for things like always books window seat or doesn't drink coffee.
Allergens — flag specific allergens that travel with the guest's profile.
How they help your team
VIP tags surface in the booking list so your front-of-house team knows who's coming.
Notes appear next to the booking on FOH devices and on the dashboard.
Allergens are highlighted so the kitchen can prepare accordingly.
Tips
Add notes the moment you learn something — don't rely on memory.
Keep tags consistent across staff so the same person doesn't get tagged different ways.
Review and tidy notes occasionally — old preferences can become inaccurate.
