Duplicating Products and Deals

Why duplicate?

Duplicating saves time when you are creating a new item that is very similar to an existing one. For example, you might add a 'Large Margherita' that is identical to your current Margherita but with a different price and image. Instead of building it from scratch, duplicate the original and edit only what is different.

What gets copied

When you duplicate a product, the copy includes its variants, modifier groups, tags and ingredients. When you duplicate a deal, the copy includes every slot and rule. When you duplicate a half-and-half setup, the copy includes the per-side modifier configuration. In every case the copy starts inactive, so you can edit and review it before customers see it.

How to duplicate

  1. Open Menu in your dashboard.

  2. Find the product, deal, or half-and-half configuration you want to copy.

  3. Click the Copy icon next to the item.

  4. The copy appears in your list as inactive with a 'Copy of' prefix.

  5. Edit the copy as needed and switch it active when ready.

Tips

  • Rename the copy straight away so it does not stay 'Copy of' on your storefront.

  • Duplicate is great for seasonal versions of the same item — a 'Christmas Pizza' duplicated from a regular and tweaked.

  • Always switch the original off if the copy is meant to replace it. Otherwise both will appear to customers.
